[Tutorial] How to connect to TwitchTV Chat servers with an IRC client

    Prior to using XChat, I used to connect using Trillian's built in IRC plugin and I've seen Pidgin work.
    Soooooooo I guess certain IRC support is limited or something. *shrug*
    Perhaps just test certain IRC clients or plugins to see if you're able to connect, then go .

    I like how you can see messages that were timed out :D

    It's working on androirc from my phone too btw.

    Anyone know how to disable the constant notification of who's entering and exiting?

    If you are using xchat just right click the channel tab, then under settings check off "Hide Join/Part Messages".

    in towelliee's chat it might be needed because of the amount of viewers coming and going.
    for us smaller streamers, it's definitely useful for seeing who's tuning in :)
